Velti listed as one of Britain's top software companies
| December 3rd 2008 | London | Back to news list |
Velti has been identified as one of the leading software companies in Britain in a new annual report by PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC); as part of PwC's EuroSoftware100 the company was ranked 67th in an index of the top 100 software vendors in the UK.
Using company revenues as a deciding factor, Velti was ranked ahead of names such as City Networks, Tribal Group and Assima. Speaking after the release of the figures, Pierre Marty of PwC stated that the sector is currently facing a "challenging" period.
He said businesses that respond positively by pioneering new approaches should emerge from the current market turmoil in a much better position. Mr Marty commented: "Companies who seize the opportunities provided by technological shifts, which innovate and remain agile, will emerge stronger as the market reshapes itself."
PwC highlighted Green IT as one area which could be developed further over the next few years in response to greater consumer awareness of environmental issues.
