Integration

Whatever your system setup, we'll be able to integrate

Velti’s Mobile Marketing Platform (MMP) is a diverse tool that offers a wide variety of services:

  • SMS promotions and activities
  • WAP sites and WAP banners
  • Mobile communities
  • Personalised activities
  • Premium services, etc.

As an enabling component in such services, the MMP exchanges information with a variety of systems (SMSCs, MMSCs, WAP portals, custom systems, etc.). In this context, Velti has been performing the task of integrating its platform installations with operator systems for a long time. We have been building on this experience to streamline and standardise the integration process of the MMP in networks, platforms, and other client systems.

SMS/MMS and WAP Integration

An installation of the platform is almost always required in the context of sending and receiving SMS messages (MO/MT) and serving/accessing on-deck or off-deck WAP sites.

Our platform supports all related standards for SMSC connectivity, including but not limited to:

  • SMPP
  • CIMD/CIMD2
  • ParlayX
  • HTTP Custom - especially for HTTP, our HTTP adaptor can be easily re-configured to accommodate various parameters and different formats
  • Aggregator connectivity:
    • MQUBE (Verisign)
    • IPX,
    • SYBASE 365
  • MMSC connectivity (MM7, etc.)

Our process involves secure connections based on VPN, SSL, SSH, tunneling technologies, so as to access SMSCs, MMSCs, or WAP portals.

In terms of WAP:

  • We can integrate with external device-specific renderes, such as Volantis
  • Velti maintains its own device-repository, and provides device-specific rendering of pages, when serving WAP pages or WAP banners
  • Integrates easily with Operator WAP Gateways, and utilizes custom technologies like VCML, XDIME, PML, etc.

Additional External Integration

There is always the need for integration and exchange of data with specific, in-place infrastructure, like:

  • CRM installations, billing systems, etc.
  • Customer Support systems
  • Customer database

Our open architecture ensures the best way to interface with such systems, via:

  • ODBC – JDBC
  • Java-related technologies, e.g. JMS, Web Services (SOAP) or HTTP
  • Exchange of formatted data (e.g. CDR) using scheduled jobs and our CDR configuration tools.
